Christy received a Bachelors degree in InterArts & Technology from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 2004 before moving to Chicago to earn a degree in Commercial Photography from Harrington College of Design in 2007. She began her photography business during her first year of school, and transitioned to photographing weddings in 2008. Upon meeting in 2007, James managed a camera store in Chicago. Christy & James were married in 2009 and James joined the business officially in 2010. Since then they have photographed over 300 weddings together as a team all over the country and world. Christy has been teaching workshops since 2012 and has shared all the lessons she & James have learned over the years with over 100 other creatives and counting!
